Search Continuing For Missing Airman
Searchers are continuing their efforts to find any trace of the last member of the five man crew of the air force bomber.
Tech. Sgt. Melvin Wooten, tail gunner, is the only one still unaccounted for.
Brigadier Gen. Knute Neely, commander of the 6th air division 8th air force strategic air command is in charge of the investigation.
Investigation teams continue to comb the crash site where parts of the wrecked plane are spread over a one-mile area. Air police units also are standing by to keep away unauthorized persons.
In addition to light planes and helicopters which were used yesterday several reconnaissance bombers flew over the general area to take photos which were later enlarged and examined for traces.
Several flights were to be continued today.
